So I've been browsing DA for a while now, and I don't know if this is a new trend or if I'm just now noticing it - submissions where the artist's comments are just "(C)2008 me, don't ever use my work in anything ever, ever." Not verbatim here, but you get the drift. I've seen quite a few submissions lately that I wanted to +fav or leave a comment on, but I just get so put off by that cookie cutter copyright line that I don't do either.
I get that we all want people to respect our copyrights, but DA builds in a copyright tag right below every submission. So what you're writing there doesn't tell me anything I don't already know.
What these notices do tell me is that these "artists" are more concerned with their rights than with actually sharing their creativity the DA community. What happened to mentioning how you found a particularly unique location, or the inspiration behind a particular illustration?
If you're so concerned with putting out a quantity of submissions that you can't be bothered to share some part of your creative process, then what exactly is your reason for being a part of this community to begin with?
